Massage and Covid 19

I've had to make some changes to the way I work your health and wellbeing is my priority and I have put measures in place to ensure you can enjoy receiving a massage as safely and comfortably as possible. I'm following advice from the government and my professional association, it's an evolving situation so further changes may be made, I'll keep you updated.

Before booking please consider your health, if you or anyone in your household are showing any symptoms of Covid 19 please wait. This includes a high temperature, a new or continuous cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, also if you are generally feeling unwell including having a cold. Please also wait if you have had a recent positive Covid 19 test, have been contacted by test and trace or returned from and country / area requiring isolation. Please contact me for options for on-line pain and stress management, included guided self massage ideas if you're unable to book a hands on appointment.

Changes to your sessions include:

  • I will be wearing the currently advised PPE including mandatory visor or googles and mask as well as following all guidelines on hygiene.
  • If your new to me or returning after lockdown I will email you a pre treatment screening to be filled in before your appointment.
  • If you see me at BHWC therapists are using a separate entrance, it's the side entrance and the first door on Upper Market Street.
  • Please text or ring bell on arrival and I will greet you, waiting facilities have been reduced so please arrive at your appointment time.
  • Remember a mask, you'll need to wear one. (I have spare ones if you forget). If your exempt from wearing one please let me know in advance.
  • There are a variety of payment methods available, including at the time of on-line booking and card payments. The card reader isn't contactless, but I can send a payment link via text or email. I accept cash, but bringing the correct amount is helpful.
  • Bring as little as possible to your appointment but please bring your own water.

All treatment rooms I use are spacious and well ventilated and other measures I'm taking include:

  • Longer spaces between treatments to thoroughly clean and disinfect the room.
  • Thorough washing and sanitising of hands and arms.
  • All linens are changed between clients and washed at 60 degrees.
  • Soft furnishings have been removed from the treatment room.

NHS QR code is available to scan, I have to display it but it's your choice on scanning it, my regular records already comply with track and trace requirements. The code only relates to clients visiting me and not everyone visiting BHWC.

If you wish to know more on how the above may affect you please contact me. Full measures are available in the Covid 19 policy.

Thank you for your understanding.
